Thomas Edison Report

I picked Thomas Edison because he invented many things that helped mankind.  He was born February 11, 1849 in Ohio and later moved to Michigan.  In his childhood he helped his mom on the farm; that inspired him to make a laboratory.

When he was not working he was in his laboratory.  When he was a teenager he sold papers on a train.  He lost his hearing around age 12.  He worked at the telegraph company.

When he was an adult he moved to the east coast to where he married Mary Stillwell Christmas 1871.  They had a daughter called Marion Estelle (Dot) in 1873.

Then he invented the photograph in his laboratory.  Then he went to work on his biggest invention yet, the thing that helps us all today.  I bet you can’t guess it.  It’s the light bulb.

His first wife died, then he got married again.  He name was Mina Miller.
Then he met two people named Eadweard Muybridge and William K L Dickinson, they worked together a lot.   He also had a son named Charles.

He died October 18, 1931.   The End.
